Orange Grove and all Arizona school will be closed from Monday March 16-Mach 27 due to recent COVID-19. This is a precautionary measure. Any updates and information will be given via messaging system, district website and marquee. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Somerton Middle School will be closed for the next two weeks. For the safety of our children, staff, and community Governor Ducey has canceled school for the next two weeks. Schools will be closed from Monday March 16th through Friday March 27th. We will keep you informed as information becomes available. Parents/Guardian We want to make you aware of rumor that has started about a shooting at Somerton Middle School.  Student safety is always our number one priority. Somerton Police department has been involved and there is no evidence of a threat to our students or school.  Our students are safe and school will continue to follow its regular schedule. Good afternoon from Somerton Middle School, this is what’s going on this week at SMS. 1. Open House will be on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Please meet in the SMS gym. 2. Student information packets will start going home today. Please fill them out and return them by Thursday August 15th 3. If your child does not have an iPad please stop by the front office during regular hours to sign the forms.

TDS families in the Estrellas: Somerton will begin construction on the Garvin Pathway. Students will be offered temporary bus transportation starting the first day of school 8/6/19. Pick-up at 7:00AM & drop-off 3:08PM MTTHF and 12:23PM on Wed. at Cesar Chavez Ave. & Patricia St.

TDS Parents: Please disregard the notice sent home today regarding the Columbia Avenue drop-off/pick-up lane change for Thursday May 2nd. After school was dismissed today school and City of officials were able to schedule the paving project around our arrival and dismissal times. Tomorrow, we'll have access to Columbia Avenue as we do every day. We apologies for any inconvenience. Thank you.
