In February, some of our Sundragons will be taking the AZELLA test (Arizona English Language Learner Assessment). This assessment helps us understand how your child is growing in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English.
For our Sundragons, the AZELLA is very child-friendly and feels much like normal classroom activities—talking, listening, and showing what they know. The best way to support your child is to make sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast, and come to school ready to do their best 😊
We ask that you please avoid scheduling any appointments during testing dates to ensure your child is able to test with their class. Our students always perform better when they test alongside their assigned teacher. Thank you for your continued support!

Congratulations to the Sun Valley Robodinals, who earned 1st place, and Tierra Del Sol, who took 2nd place at the Yuma County Robotics Competition, both teams are headed to the State Competition! A big shout out as well to our 1st Place Chess winner from Somerton Middle School. Join a 21st Century club to build skills, celebrate achievements, and shine bright! Clubs vary by school.
