Our TDS Walk-A-Thon is coming up on Friday, March 27! Students will participate in a fun color walk during the school day.
🔹 Goal: $20 donation per student
🔹 Minimum to participate: $5
🔹 Important: The pledge sheet is your permission slip.
🔹 Please remember to send your child wearing a white shirt.
Any parents who would like to volunteer for this event please contact your child's teacher! Thank you for supporting our school! 🎉

Our March Coffee & Convos with the Superintendent was a success! We discussed Special Olympics, parent workshops, districtwide tournaments, our school letter grade, and a potential bond. We were also honored to have special guests from Campesinos Sin Fronteras speak about youth and substance abuse.
We invite everyone to join us for our next Coffee & Convos with the Superintendent on April 16th at Sun Valley School.

Recently our school district updated their school board policy JLID- Student Transportation & Safety. This update includes new policy regarding the Use of Motorized Transportation Devices. Per local and state transportation laws motorized skateboards, scooters, or other motorized play vehicles may not be operated on school property or used to or from the school.
This policy is in accordance with City of Somerton ordinances and A.R.S. Title 28.
The school board policy can be found on the back of this letter.
Beginning, Monday, March 16, 2026, students may not bring motorized vehicles to school. They may continue to walk and/ or ride a bike following all state, local, and school rules. Please ensure if riding a bike to school that student walks the bike when on campus, uses a lock to secure bike, and follows safety expectations to and from school.
