A Message From the Principal:

We are beginning our fourth week of instruction at ELC. One thing that I have noticed as I walk into “ALL” of the classrooms is that our students are having fun learning. ELC has an awesome staff. Please take the time to thank them for their dedication. Please continue to speak to your child about “Rough Play”. We want all children at ELC to Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful.

Also, we will be having our first PTO MEETING this Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in the cafeteria. Come and learn about the great things that are happening at ELC. ELC is looking for parents who are interested in becoming part of our PTO committee. We will be choosing our PTO officers during our meeting and discussing our Title 1 funds. If you want to nominate someone before our meeting, please stop by the front office to fill out a nominee form.

ELC will be having our first “LOCKDOWN Drill Practice”, Thursday, August 27th. Please talk to your child about the importance of these drills.

There will be a meeting on September 2nd at 5:30 in the cafeteria with the district band teachers to give you information regarding our students and band. We will also be sending out a flyer with specific information about band with your child. Please make sure to check your child’s backpack on a daily basis.

Parents, thank you for not entering with your child in the food or kitchen area in the cafeteria. Government guidelines have been establish for your child’s safety and education.

There will be NO SCHOOL this Friday, August 28th – (District In-Service Day)

Don’t forget to visit ELC online for more information about our school. Visit us at http://www.ssd11.org/Encanto/ Please do not hesitate to contact us at 341-6701 if you have any questions.
