A Message From the Principal:

Dear Parents!

ELC would like to thank you and our great PTO officers for helping us out with our “School Supply Drive”. We appreciate all of your support and donations. ELC has the best parents in the world. We could not achieve any of our goals without your help. We would also like to thank our teachers and your child for making the beautiful posters and/or cards for our bus drivers during last week’s “Bus Driver Appreciate Week”.

Use extreme caution when driving through the front office parking area. Please DO NOT PARK in the BUS LOADING ZONE and be very careful with pedestrians. Also, do not park in the Handicap parking unless you have the placard displayed on your window or license plate. We appreciate your support with our school safety procedures.

Parents, our school SAFETY PROCEDURES do not allow parents in the classroom hallways without a visitor’s pass. The visitor’s pass is to walk your child to his or her classroom. This pass is not to be used to talk with teachers  during their morning prep time. If you need to speak with a teacher, please make an appointment with our front secretaries. We appreciate your support with our school safety procedures.

PRESCHOOL & KINDER REGISTRATION is now open! ELC is having “PRESCHOOL & KINDER REGISTRATION” for the 2017/2018 school year. Please register today, because the spaces are filling up fast. Once our preschool slots fill up, you will not be able to place your child in our preschool program. So, please contact our front office for more information.

Please join us this Wednesday for our first ever “Family Engineering Night” for all of our ELC families. This event begins at 6:00 P.M. in the cafeteria. Come and see some of the engineering projects that your child is doing at school.

Are you looking for a fun and exciting night for the entire family this weekend? Then bring them to ELC’s GAME NIGHT this coming Friday at 6 PM! Your kids will love you for it!

We will continue practicing our monthly emergency drills this month. Please make sure that you talk to your child about the importance of being ready in case of a real emergency. Also, if you have moved and have a different address, please contact us regarding the changes in the office as soon as possible.

AZELLA and DIBELS PM testing will take place at ELC in THREE WEEKS. Please bring your child on time every day and do not take them out early. This affects their learning, and they loose valuable teaching time. Remember to communicate with your child’s teachers and assist us with strategies and/or homework at home. Let’s continue to work together to make your child’s education a memorable one. Have a great week!

Mr. Munoz
