Mr. Munoz’s Corner:

We are beginning our fourth week of instruction at ELC. One thing that I have noticed as I walk into “ALL” of the classrooms is that our students are having fun learning. ELC has an awesome staff. Please take the time to thank them for their dedication. Please continue to speak to your child about “Rough Play”. We want all children at ELC to Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful.

Please join me in welcoming our new lead secretary, Lourdes Encinas, to ELC. She will be taking over Minnie Encinas’ position, and I am asking you to be patient with the front office staff during this transitional phase.

Also, we will be having our first PTO MEETING this Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in the cafeteria. Come and learn about the great things that are happening at ELC. ELC is looking for parents who are interested in becoming part of our PTO committee. We will be choosing our PTO officers during our meeting. If you want to nominate someone before our meeting, please stop by the front office to fill out a nominee form.

ELC will be having our first “LOCKDOWN Drill Practice”, Thursday, August 28th. Please talk to your child about the importance of these drills.

Parents, thank you for not entering with your child in the food or kitchen area in the cafeteria. Government guidelines have been establish for your child’s safety and education.

There will be NO SCHOOL this Friday, August 29th, (District In-Service Day) and Monday, September 1st, (Labor Day-Holiday).

Don’t forget to visit ELC online for more information about our school. Visit us at Please do not hesitate to contact us at 341-6701 if you have any questions.
